Easter dress

It's Easter and i thought it would be nice to make a (kind of) colorful dress for Easter. The dress as two layers. It's really girly , the only problem is that I'm not really girly. Well I just  have to force myself to wear it than.

I bought this really beautiful stretch fabric on a market.  Luckily I still had a leather fabric. So I made a dress from those fabrics. I really like it and I'm happy with the result.

Peplum

I love those shirts, every time I see one in a store I want to buy it. So last time when I bought a new fabric I made a peplum shirt and here it is.

the third

When I was making my third creation, I made my own pattern. I wanted to make something like a jacket. I used pastel green and leather.

The second

My second creation was a simple shirt. I used a see through fabric (white). I needed one day to make it. I made this one in February.

The first design

My first design was a dress for Christmas. I used two different fabrics. This also was the first time I used a sewing machine. Before this I made thins by hand what is almost impossible . A sewing machine is much faster.

So it took me a week to make this dress, first I had to find a pattern I could use. After that I had to draw it and used that pattern to cut out the fabric. When all of that was done, I could start sewing the parts together.

This is what came out. It was my first dress (and of course it's not perfect) I worn it once.

My own clothes

There is a connection between me and clothes. Sometimes I buy clothes, but than I think : This could be different and maybe I could cut of something. This is where it all started.
Last year I started learning about how to make your own clothing. It's a study and I can do this at home. It is really nice. There is no deadline and I don't get grades. I can make whatever I want. Of course the first designs didn't work out as I wanted them to be. But how more you make (how better you study) how better you know what to do.

I have three items that I made. There not perfect but I will show them to you. I will post here something when I have something new to show. enjoy. xxx
